Thorpeness Golf Club is a challenging 18-hole heathland course, said to be one of the best of its kind in the country. Also at Thorpeness is a large boating lake, ideal for thought provoking team-building exercises, as well as seven first-class hard tennis courts. The group’s brigade of chefs are simply passionate about cooking. They source fresh produce from local Suffolk and Norfolk suppliers and specialise in fish and seafood to produce home-cooked food which quite literally feeds the mind. So, after a hearty meal, what better way to burn off the calories or clear the mind than an invigorating walk along the beach, a row on the Meare, a game of tennis or a round of golf on the challenging 18-hole course at Thorpeness. The gentle countryside surrounding our venue is also ideal cycling territory for delegates of every level of fitness (cycles can be hired at Thorpeness Hotel) and we have links with two excellent local sailing clubs to put the wind back into your delegates’ flagging sails. Clay pigeon shooting can also be arranged nearby.

Glemham Hall is an elegant, red brick Elizabethan mansion surrounded by 300 acres of parkland situated between Woodbridge and Saxmundham in Suffolk off the A12. The 3,000 acre estate now hosts a variety of events including a country fair, open air opera and theatre. It is also a popular venue for weddings, meetings and conferences. During the winter months it plays host to driven game shooting and woodland deer stalking. For enlightening tours and more about the history of the hall, private views and garden open days take place throughout the year. Glemham Hall, a historic Elizabethan Manor house, situated in the unspoilt Suffolk countryside, provides an excellent setting for both small and intimate meetings, and larger conferences and seminars. It is filled with charm - the log fires, the delightful rooms and the beautiful gardens and parkland all combine to give your meetings a relaxed and comfortable ambiance. Above all, we pride ourselves on the freshly produced home-made food at Glemham. We use the finest local produce, including game from the Glemham Estate. Meetings can be held in the Great Hall, Drawing Room and Dining/Board Room. Larger conferences and corporate events are also held in the permanent marquee in the garden. Our private drive gives direct access to and from the A12 just 30 minutes north of Ipswich, and 40 minutes south of Lowestoft.
