Fennes is easy to find. By road it is just 19 miles from Stansted Airport and the M11, and Stansted station is under 1 hour from London. The four principal reception rooms are suited to a variety of corporate layouts. From formal boardroom to informal gatherings or theatre-style arrangements to break-out spaces - all are possible under one roof! The Banqueting Hall and Pavilion have good acoustics, the house also enables several different functions to be in operation simultaneously. For example - a formal meeting could be conducted in the Dining Room while a discussion forum would be possible in the Drawing Room. A number of rooms overlook our large lawn. If the weather is good, and the activity suited, this is a useful addition to the interior spaces. Team building exercises, launch parties or elegant summer picnics can be enjoyed here.

    A mill has stood on this site for at least 1000 years- it is mentioned in William the Conqueror’s great survey, the Doomsday Book of 1086, and probably dates back to the Saxon origins of the town. The Mill has been a hotel for over 40 years, and is an excellent venue for conferences of all sizes. This Old English style hotel is in the centre of Sudbury, on the banks of the River Stour. It has a bar, a restaurant and sun terrace each with picturesque views over the meadows. The hotel has recently undergone a multi-million pound refurbishment programme and introduced a feature restaurant, The Mill with a historic working water wheel. For those with less formal or more modest requirements it makes a great spot for guests to hold a breakfast meeting or lunch.     The High Barn High Barn is a stunning Grade II* listed medieval property, providing an imaginative combination of an historic timber-framed barn with state of the art facilities.     You are aware of the Bull's ancient history as soon as you walk into the entrance hall. Its massive moulded oak beams dominate the reception area and the original part of the building. During the coaching era the Bull was the principal Posting House of the town and a stopping place of the London , Bury St Edmunds , and Norwich coaches.     Hedingham Castle's Norman keep, 110 feet high, was built c.1140 by Aubrey de Vere and is still owned by one of his descendants, The Honourable Thomas Lindsay and his wife Virginia. There are four floors to explore, including a magnificent Banqueting Hall spanned by a remarkable 28 foot arch, one of the largest Norman arches in England. A good view of this splendid room can be obtained from the Minstrels' Gallery, built within the thickness of the 12 foot walls. The fine Queen Anne house overlooking the lake provides an ideal setting for a variety of corporate and private parties.
